Cookie Policy
Learn how the Aetarix website currently uses cookies and similar technologies for essential security and privacy-conscious performance measurement.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Aetarix uses cookies and similar technologies on the Aetarix website.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website may store on your device through your browser.
Cookies can serve different purposes, such as:
- Supporting essential website functions
- Protecting websites against malicious activity
- Remembering user preferences
- Measuring website usage
- Supporting advertising or cross-site tracking
Not every website technology that measures performance or usage relies on cookies.
3. Our Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
Aetarix uses a limited combination of essential website storage, cookie-free performance measurement and optional analytics cookies.
The website may use:
- essential storage required for security and remembering privacy choices;
- Cloudflare security cookies when particular protection features are activated;
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare describes as operating without cookies or local storage; and
- Google Analytics 4 cookies only after a visitor accepts analytics.
Aetarix does not currently use cookies for:
- advertising personalization;
- remarketing;
- cross-site tracking;
- building advertising profiles; or
- remembering user-account preferences on the public website.
4. Strictly Necessary Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies support functions required to deliver, secure, or protect a website.
Depending on the Cloudflare features activated and the circumstances of a visitor's request, Cloudflare may set cookies to:
- Identify and manage potentially automated traffic
- Preserve the result of a security challenge
- Apply rate-limiting protections
- Maintain website availability
- Protect the website against malicious requests
These cookies are used for security and website operation rather than advertising.
Because they are necessary to provide or protect the website, disabling them may prevent parts of the website from functioning correctly.
5. Cloudflare Security Cookies
Cloudflare may conditionally place security cookies when its corresponding protection features are triggered or enabled.
Examples documented by Cloudflare include:
__cf_bm, which may support bot-management or bot-protection featurescf_clearance, which may preserve the result of a Cloudflare security challenge_cfuvid, which may support certain rate-limiting configurations- Temporary cookies associated with website availability or traffic management
The specific cookies encountered by a visitor may vary depending on website configuration, security conditions, and the Cloudflare services active at that time.
These cookies are controlled by Cloudflare and are subject to Cloudflare's applicable policies.
6. Cloudflare Web Analytics
Aetarix currently uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand general website traffic and technical performance.
Cloudflare states that its Web Analytics service does not use cookies or local storage to collect website-usage metrics and does not collect or use visitors' personal data for this service.
The service may provide aggregated information about matters such as:
- Page views
- Website performance
- Browser or device categories
- General traffic sources
- Country-level traffic information
- Core Web Vitals and loading performance
Aetarix uses this information to understand website performance and identify areas that may need improvement.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is not used by Aetarix for advertising or cross-site tracking.
7. Optional Google Analytics Cookies
Aetarix uses Google Analytics 4 only when you select “Accept analytics.”
Google Analytics helps us understand website visits, navigation, session activity and selected interactions so that we can improve the website and its content.
If you select “Reject non-essential,” Google Analytics will not be intentionally loaded and Aetarix will not intentionally place Google Analytics cookies.
The exact cookie name containing the container identifier depends on the Google Analytics measurement ID configured for the website.
Cookie duration represents the normal maximum duration. Browser restrictions, deletion by the visitor or withdrawal of consent may shorten it.
When analytics is accepted, Aetarix may measure:
- website page views and navigation;
- interactions with selected Services, Work, Insights and project-enquiry links;
- clicks on company-level email, telephone and WhatsApp links; and
- successful submission of the project-enquiry form.
We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, company names, telephone numbers, enquiry messages or other Contact-form field content to Google Analytics.
Aetarix does not currently enable Google Signals, advertising personalization, remarketing or cross-domain measurement.
8. Contact Forms and Third-Party Services
When you submit a contact form, the website may send the information you provide to services used to receive and manage enquiries.
Submitting a form is an intentional action and is separate from passive advertising or cross-site cookie tracking.
Third-party services may apply their own technical, security, or privacy practices when processing a request. More information about how contact information is handled is provided in our Privacy Policy.
Links to external websites are governed by the cookie and privacy practices of those websites. Aetarix does not control cookies placed after you leave the Aetarix website.
9. Managing Cookies
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their privacy settings.
The available controls vary by browser. You may be able to:
- Delete cookies already stored on your device
- Block all cookies
- Block cookies from particular websites
- Restrict third-party cookies
- Clear browsing data when closing the browser
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect website security, availability, or functionality.
Blocking or deleting optional analytics cookies will not prevent you from using the essential functions of the Aetarix website.
Cloudflare Web Analytics does not rely on cookies or local storage, so deleting browser cookies may not disable its aggregated, cookie-free performance measurement.
10. Cookie Consent and Your Choices
When you first visit the website, you may select either:
- “Accept analytics”; or
- “Reject non-essential.”
Google Analytics remains disabled unless you accept analytics. Rejecting optional analytics will not prevent you from using the website.
Your choice is stored so that the website can remember it on later visits.
You may change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” in the website footer.
When consent is withdrawn, the website stops future Google Analytics measurement and attempts to remove Google Analytics cookies accessible from the Aetarix domain. Withdrawing consent does not automatically erase analytics information processed before withdrawal.
Strictly necessary storage and Cloudflare security features may operate without optional analytics consent where permitted by applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when:
- Website technology changes
- A new third-party service is introduced
- Our use of cookies changes
- Security or analytics practices change
- Applicable legal requirements change
The revised policy will be published on this page with an updated date.
